1848 – The will of John Chatwin 

I John Chatwin of Birmingham in the county of Warwick button maker

To my daughters Harriet Louisa Chatwin and Sarah Selina Chatwin

I give and bequeath unto Peter Kempson of Birmingham aforesaid metal dealer John Guest of Birmingham aforesaid gilt … Julius Alfred Chatwin my shares in the Birmingham Banking Company and the Birmingham District Fire Office upon trust … during the minority of my son Theophilus Francis Chatwin

My sons Thomas Turner Chatwin John Frederick Chatwin George Davey Chatwin Julius Alfred Chatwin and Theophilus Francis Chatwin 

In the business now carried on by me and my sons Thomas Turner Chatwin and John Frederick Chatwin as button makers 
28th July 1848

Proved 3rd November 1855 to John Guest and Julius Alfred Chatwin
